The project is carried out by Indochina Productions in coordination with Tourism Ambassador of Vietnam Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who is director of the Hollywood blockbuster "Kong: Skull Island" (2016).
Accordingly, clips will be screened in a Hollywood cinema. The project aims to introduce the natural beauty of Quang Binh to more than 100 US film producers, directors, actors and media groups.
On his side, Tourism Ambassador of Vietnam Jordan Vogt-Roberts said that Quang Binh province was the “perfect aesthetic” for the film. The release of the Hollywood movie is an opportunity to promote Vietnamese beauty to the world.
The film director was appointed Tourism Ambassador of Vietnam in the 2017-2020 period.
According to Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Ho An Phong, Quang Binh delegates will attend the New York Times Travel Show in New York to promote the world’s largest cave system Son Doong from January 25 to 27. Following the event, Quang Binh will invite Hollywood producers, scriptwriters, directors and actors to the province to the caves for sightseeing.
It is the first time a Vietnamese province will introduce its local images to the world’s movie hub.
Quang Binh was among the three Vietnamese localities chosen for the shooting of parts of the 2017 Hollywood blockbuster “Kong: Skull Island”.
Scenes were shot in Trang An, Van Long and Tam Coc in the northern province of Ninh Binh; the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Rao Nan River and Yen Phu Lake in the central province of Quang Binh; and Ha Long Bay in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh.
