Philippines Tatler advises on exploring Ho Chi Minh City
Ha Phuong 16:46, 2018/08/14
Philippines Tatler has some words of advice for travelers that Ho Chi Minh is a good place for some rest and relaxation as you spend a long weekend and imbibe its culture through food and drink.
Enjoying the amenities of Equator Club like a quieter breakfast, tea time, and cocktails or spending your time to discover the traditional food and drinks in Ben Thanh Market are the best ways to explore Ho Chi Minh City culture in the first day, Chit Juan wrote in an article published on Philippines Tatler, a Philippine guide to luxury lifestyle and contemporary society.

The writer advises travelers to wear casual shorts and sneaks and line up for Bun Cha at 145 Bui Vien street. This is a good choice for travelers to discover one of the best foods in Vietnam.
On the same street about 30 steps to the right is Cong Caphe, a local coffee chain famous for its Coconut coffee — a cool blended drink of rich Vietnamese coffee and icy coconut milk and syrup. Very cool and very local. Lactose-free too, Chit Juan added.
According to Chit Juan, on the second day in Ho Chi Minh City, you may want to visit another area and check out the Notre Dame cathedral and walk along the tree-lined Dong Khoi for some local shopping. Ho Chi Minh City is a good place to visit for a weekend or a foodie trip.
Earlier, Ho Chi Minh City has been ranked 5th among the 10 hot travel destinations that are expected to see the sharpest increase of tourists by 2025, according to a list released by TravelSupermarket, a travel deals website.
The survey is based on data from Euromonitor to find out just which major cities will see the fastest percentage growth in tourist arrivals by 2025.
Ho Chi Minh City attracted nearly 4.4 million foreign visitors in the first seven months of 2018, according to the municipal Tourism Department.
In 2018, the city’s Tourism Department plans to complete a tourism development strategy which identifies key tourism products and markets to better serve the demands of both domestic and foreign visitors.  The southern metropolis is expected to receive 7.5 million foreign visitors this year.
