On the day, a national consultation meeting was held to provide the best treatment to four patients of critical conditions, including one receives extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support.

In addition, nine others are also in critical conditions.

At the consultation, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Gia Binh, head of the Health Ministry's Division on Treating Critical Covid-19 Patients, warned of opportunistic infections caused by prolonged use of corticosteroids.

Given the widespread pandemic, more places nationwide are put on lockdown for at least three weeks.
