Making August 28 traditional day of information and communications sector
According to the recent decision approved by the Prime Minister, August 28 was chosen as the Traditional Day of Vietnam’s information and communications sector.

The Prime Minister has decided to choose August 28 as the Traditional Day of the country’s information and communications sector.
The Day aims to review development of the sector throughout history and encourage officials and staff to promote their performances.
The Day creates an oppoturnity to give credit and rewards to those who have made great contributions to the growth of information and communication activities in Vietnam.
The Ministry of Information and Communications manages press, publication, post, telecommunications, information technology and information for external services.
As known, on August 28, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh signed a decree to establish 10 ministries and sectors.
Among them, the Ministry of Information and Popularisation and the Ministry of Transport and Public Works were the predecessors of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
The Day aims to review development of the sector throughout history and encourage officials and staff to promote their performances.
