Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh pledged to increase support for Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper/The Hanoi Times to boost its performance. He praised the newspaper for its excellent work over the past 25 years in informing the public about state and local policies, as well as producing excellent stories about Hanoi and other cities and provinces. “With those achievements, Kinh Te & Do Thi is definitely one of the largest media outlets in Hanoi and Vietnam,” Thanh added. Andrew Goledzinowski, Ambassador of Australia to Vietnam, stressed the importance of journalism in the development and the two-way sharing of information between the media and the Embassy of Australia is needed for news coverage. He highly appreciated The Hanoi Times for providing up-to-date news on Vietnam while having in-depth stories about Hanoi – the capital city he has so much love for. The Ambassador viewed the news agency as a trustworthy news source for conveying messages from different fields and strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Australia and Vietnam. On this occasion, he said Australia is a leading country for media and journalism training and there are opportunities for The Hanoi Times reporters to advance their expertise and professional abilities in the country. Roshan Lepcha, Counselor (Political and Information), the Embassy of India in Vietnam, commends the media's commitment to the noble profession of journalism. He looks forward to continued partnership towards the common goal of further enhancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and Vietnam with the support of media, including The Hanoi Times. “Your continual support and cooperation contributed immensely to strengthening the bonds between India and Vietnam and advancing the India-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,” he stated. Cameron Thomas-Shah, Spokesperson at the US Embassy in Hanoi, in a message sent to The Hanoi Times on this occasion, said: "We honor the courage of journalists in Vietnam and worldwide — especially those employing data and investigative techniques in your work to fight against growing threat of misinformation and disinformation — your work is invaluable." Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) SUGANO Yuichi said media has played an essential role in Japan-Vietnam’s cooperation over the past years and helped tighten the strategic partnership between the two countries. He expected the tightened and fruitful cooperation between JICA and media organizations, including The Hanoi Times. President of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Ngoc Ky: "The Economic & Urban Newspaper and The Hanoi Times have consistently supported and collaborated with the Hanoi Union, proactively providing timely, accurate, and multi-dimensional information about people's foreign affairs. This collaboration has reinforced the role of the Hanoi Union as a bridge of friendship and the main hub for the capital's people-to-people diplomacy, facilitating Vietnam and Hanoi's integration with the world under the motto "Vietnam aspires to be a friend and a reliable partner in the international community, striving for peace, independence, and development.” |
