Japanese IT exhibition kicks off in Hanoi

Hanoi Times - As many as 130 businesses from Japan and Vietnam are showcasing their IT products at the “Japan Information Technology Festival 2008” opened in Hanoi o­n September 3, Japanese ambassador to Vietnam Mitsuo Sakaba and representatives of Vietnam ’s Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications attended the event, which marks the 35 th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.

Japanese ambassador to Vietnam Mitsuo Sakaba and representatives of Vietnam ’s Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications attended the event, which marks the 35 th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.

A series of cultural activities highlighting Japanese culinary art , tea ceremony, as well as Vietnamese calligraphy are to take place in an exhibition area of 3,000 m2.
The festival also includes a seminar o­n human resources for IT, real situation of IT personnel training system in Vietnam and the Japanese market’s requirements of software engineers.
The festival, co-organised by the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) and the VINASA-Japan IT Cooperation Club (VJC), will last until September 4
