International arrivals to Hanoi rise 28.7% in first quarter
According to the Hanoi Statistics Office, number of foreign tourists to the city in the first quarter reached 761,000 arrivals, increasing by 28.7% over the same periods last year.

In March, Hanoi received 256,000 international visitors, up 17.1% over the same periods last year.
In January-March, some markets which saw a high number of visitors to Hanoi included China (85.5%), the Republic of Korea (47.9%) and Thailand (63.9%).
Among them, 620,000 went on holiday, up 30.7% while 111,000 came to Hanoi for business, up 6.7%.
The Hanoi Statistics Office also announced that the number of foreign tourists to Hanoi by air was 635,000 (up 24.5%), and by sea and land was 125,000 (up 55.6%).
