Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Vietnam Yerlan Baizhanov stressed the view during a meeting with Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh today [September 6].
The Ambassador expressed his delight at the progressing Vietnam-Kazakhstan relations over the years, with the recent visit of Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tileuberdi to Vietnam, which would facilitate high-ranking exchanges between the two sides in the time to come.
Meanwhile, Hanoi and Astana established the twinning relationship in 2012 which opened up favorable conditions for both sides to strengthen cooperation.
Hanoi Chairman Tran Sy Thanh highlighted the significance of commitments for cooperation between the two capitals and expected more specific projects from the two sides in the coming time.
“This would strengthen the friendship relations between Astana and Hanoi in particular, and Vietnam and Kazakhstan at large,” Thanh said.
Thanh, however, expected both cities to further cooperate in potential fields for mutual interests, including investment, tourism, construction, and urban management.
