Speaking at the event, Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai stated that the ASCOPE creates a chance for petroleum companies in ASEAN state countries to share experience and seek cooperation deals.
He confirmed that the Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for the petroleum sector to develop, hoping that regional partners will exchange and propose solutions to establish joint production and operation partnerships.
At the event, enterprises display and introduce equipment and techniques to serve oil and gas exploration, exploitation, procession and transportation.
The ASCOPE, set up in October in 1975, comprises ten national petroleum companies/authorities from ASEAN countries. Joining ASCOPE in 1996, Viet Nam actively promotes cooperation with oil and gas companies in the region.
