Import-Export tunover reaches US$ 116.04 billion by first half of 2014

Vietnam import-export turnover of the first half of 2014 reached over US$ 116.04billion, said General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Total export turnover reached nearly US$ 58.78billion, an increase of 15.9 percent and import turnover was more than US$ 57.26 percent, a rise of 10.3 percent, compared to the same period last year.
Commercial deficit in May was US$ 369million brought the nationwide trade surplus in the first half of 2014 to US$ 1.52billion.
Alone FDI block, total export turnover touched US$ 36.31billion, up 18.3 percent and made up 62.3 percent total export value. Total import turnover targeted US$32.35billion, up 10.7 percent compared to the same period last year and gained 56.7 percent of total Vietnam import value.
FDI enterprises said they enjoyed a rise of 59.2 percent of import –export turnover with US$ 68.65billion for the first half of 2014.
