Hau Giang assisted to apply hi-tech agriculture

Israel looks forward to assisting Hau Giang in applying high-technology in agriculture and cooperating with the Mekong Delta province in the fields of human resource development, education and training, and food processing.

Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Meirav Eilon Shahar made the statement at a working session with leaders of Hau Giang province on August 28.
 

Hau Giang province gives priority to developing high-tech agriculture


Sharar emphasised that thanks to advances in agricultural science and technology, Israel has removed many obstacles and obtained remarkable success in agriculture and economic development.

Leading Israeli experts can help train Vietnamese agricultural engineers and farmers, she said, adding Israel is providing Vietnamese students with 700 scholarships each year and promoting internship programmes with Hau Giang.

For his part, Hau Giang provincial People’s Committee Chairman Tran Cong Chanh introduced the locality’s socio-economic situation and advantages, saying the province appreciates Israel’s willingness to cooperate in hi-tech agricultural development, human resource training, and post-harvest technology application.

He pledged to create the best possible conditions for Israeli businesses to operate efficiently in the province.
