Hanoi's tourism receives the first foreign visitor in 2017
Hanoi Department of Tourism and the Corporation of Vietnam Airlines jointly held a ceremony to welcome the first international tourist to Hanoi in 2017 on January 1.

Mr. Do Dinh Hong, Director of the municipal Department of Tourism came to the plane to make his greetings, inquired about the flight and presented flowers to the first international tourists to Hanoi during the New Year 2017 festival.
The first international visitor arrived at the airport is Thomas Bauche from Germany.
While warmly welcoming the first international visitors to the capital in 2017, Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Do Dinh Hong congratulated the best wishes for New Year.
The official also expressed his honour to welcome the first international visitors to Vietnam's beautiful and hospitable capital city, and adding that the choosing of Hanoi as their destinations during coming to Vietnam is expected to be a good start, luck and major success for the tourists, as well as the city's tourism sector.
He noted that in the recent time, some leading travel magazine have voted Hanoi being one of the 10 most attractive tourist destinations in Asia and the world. The Hanoi's attraction to foreign tourists has been showed clearly by numbers of the city's international visitors in 2016 surpassing 4 million arrivals.
Speaking at the ceremony, President of the VFF Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan made his greetings of New Year to all German tourists to Hanoi, and expressed his deep thanks for the visitors in choosing Hanoi's destination as their first journey in 2017 to explore the world's cultures.

He also wished the guests get interesting time and memorable journey to Hanoi and Vietnam.
Mr.Thomas Bauche, the first international visitor to Hanoi in 2017, said that this is the second time he has arrived in Vietnam, where has left a deep impression on him.
Thomas Bauche and his wife, Monika Spchrbauche, will visit Vietnam for 3 weeks.
After Hanoi, they intend to come to several tourist sites such as Hoi An, Ha Long, the Southwest and HCM City.
