After a week off for Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, most businesses in Hanoi have quickly resumed business since January 27 with high spirits and determination to achieve positive results in the year ahead.

In an atmosphere of joy for the New Year, about 12,000 employees of the Garment 10 in nine provinces/cities returned to work on January 27.
Chairman of Directors of Board of Garment 10 Vu Duc Giang told The Hanoi Times his company met all its targets in 2022 despite the challenging environment facing the garment industry.
On the same day, at the Thanh Oai Industrial Cluster in Thanh Oai District, 250 Supertex Garment employees started the first work shift of the year to fill the order to export more than one million pairs of socks to Japan.
Director of Supertex Le Dai Quang said workers were eager to be back after a long holiday.
“Everyone wants to have a productive year and contributes to the development of the company,” Quang told The Hanoi Times.
He added that although they faced many difficulties last year, the company made an effort to take care of employees during the Tet holiday. "This was our effort to strengthen the bond between employers and workers in the company's interest," Quang said.
Sharing Quang's view, Rang Dong Light Source & Vacuum Flask Company deputy general director Nguyen Doan Ket said a good benefits policy for workers, especially during the Tet holiday period, would help bring out the best in them.
“This is the basis for us to realize development targets in 2023, including a smart and flexible production system capable of meeting customers’ personalized demand,” Ket told The Hanoi Times.
Striving for higher goals
In 2023, Garment 10 aims to increase its revenue compared to the previous year and focus on developing a quality workforce to seize the opportunities presented by the global apparel industry trend.
"Product diversification, leveraging technologies, and digital governance for faster delivery and consistent quality are among the company's priorities," said Garment 10's Giang.
"This is especially important as 2023 is expected to pose greater challenges from economic and geopolitical instability," he said.
For its part, Supertex is aiming for export order volume to increase by 120% to 130% over 2022, equating to revenues of between $5.5 million and $6 million.
Director of Supertex Le Dai Quang said the garment firm actively searches for new partners in the US and Europe, especially those from member countries of the CPTPP.
Vice General Director of Rang Dong Company Nguyen Doan Ket said an acceleration of the digitalization process would be the key for the company to enhance productivity and secure sustainable development.
“We continue to strive for smart, energy-saving, and environmentally-friendly products to meet the rising demand of the customers and stay firm in sustainable development,” he added.
