Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi has been listed among the world's top airports for queuing management, securing 5th place in the Asian region, according to Casago, a real estate and resort hotel management and rental company.
Being the only Vietnamese airport in the ranking, the Hanoi airport is also ranked 11th in the list of the world's top 20 airports for short queuing times.
Casago published the ranking based on the criterion of short queuing times. To determine the best and worst airports for wait times, Casago analyzed passenger reviews collected and analyzed by airlinequality.com, where travelers can rate airport wait times from one to five stars.

Noi Bai International Airport, with more than 63% of passengers rating queuing times either four or five stars, surpasses Narita Airport in Japan and Incheon Airport in South Korea.
Casago also found that Vietnamese passengers are among the most positive about airport queuing times, with over 54% of their reviews being four or five stars.
The recognition of Hanoi's airport is a testament to the concerted efforts to improve the passenger experience. By minimizing queuing times and streamlining procedures, the airport has contributed to the overall satisfaction of travelers passing through its terminals.
The airport's achievement in this regard underscores its commitment to providing a world-class travel experience and positions it as a key player in Vietnam's growing aviation sector.
Noi Bai, the largest international airport in northern Vietnam, is located approximately 35 kilometers from the center of Hanoi. It currently has two passenger terminals, each with a capacity of 25 million passengers per year, and a cargo terminal with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons.
During 2010-2019, the number of passengers increased by an average of 13% and cargo by an average of 14.5%. In 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic, the airport handled 29 million passengers and 695,000 tons of cargo.
The annual capacity of Noi Bai International Airport will increase to 80-100 million passengers by 2050 under an expansion plan approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV). In recent years, the Vietnamese government has improved the quality of its services to reduce waiting times.
