Chairman of Hanoi's People Committee and Moroccan Ambassador to Vietnam

At talks, ambassador Azzeddine Ferhane said that Vietnam and Morocco maintain traditionally sound relationship with untold potentials to cooperate. Both countries have collaborated and walked together in many fields. While Morocco is the gate to Africa, Vietnam plays a vital role in ASEAN. The similarities between Rabat and Hanoi also create favorable condition to cooperate, therefore, the ambassador hoped the two capitals of both countries would soon swear brotherhood to enable bilateral comprehensive cooperation effectively.
On this occasion, the ambassador proposed to remodel and preserve the Morocco Gate at Tan Linh commune, Ba Vi district of Hanoi. The construction would become a tourism site in Hanoi as an icon of Morocco – Vietnam friendship.
Expressing his pleasure at the achievements of Morocco during the past time, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung said, Morocco has kept a long-standing diplomatic relationship with Vietnam. Both nations own mutual heritage. The Chairman supported the idea of remodeling the Morocco Gate on occasion of 56th anniversary of Vietnam-Morocco relationship (March 27, 1961 – March 27, 2017).
