Hanoi’s authorities are expected to support 1,500 local enterprises developing and adopting measures to enhance labor productivity and quality in the next five years.

Among those enterprises, at least 15 would receive guidance and support in boosting productivity and efficiency in operation to become one of the city’s main business models.

The move was revealed in Hanoi’s plan No.149/KH-UBND in response to the national program of supporting enterprises in the capital city to improve productivity and product quality in the 2021-2030 period.

“For the 2021-2025 period, Hanoi plans to continue promoting measures for enterprises to improve their productivity and food safety in supply chains, organic production, origin tracing, and smart production,” stated the plan.

Under the plan, the local authorities would provide capacity-building programs for at least two rating agencies to assess the compliance of technical standards for Hanoi’s main products and services.

Hanoi also aims to train over 2,000 public servants and officials under departments, units, all-level people’s committees, organizations, and businesses, with the target of having at least 20 experts on productivity and quality.

In the 2026-2030 period, the number of staffs and experts receiving training on productivity should increase by at least 50% against that of the previous five years; by that time the city would have a contingent of  40 experts on productivity and product quality with other 10 at regional and international levels.

Meanwhile, the number of enterprises qualified for the city’s support in adopting measures to enhance productivity would go up by at least 50% against the 2021-2025 period; at least 20 enterprises would become an exemplary model to be multiplied nationwide.

Hanoi would have five rating agencies capable of assessing compliance with the technical standards of the city's main products.
