The event will be organized by the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs in collaboration with the Dong Anh District People's Committee.

It is expected to attract about 10,000 people, including 8,000 students from middle schools, high schools and vocational training centers in 24 districts and towns, and about 2,000 students from vocational training institutions and workers.

In addition, more than 50 vocational training institutions will directly participate in enrollment counseling and vocational skills demonstration at 70 booths. More than 50 enterprises will offer nearly 3,000 job opportunities at the fair.

Hoang Thanh Thai, deputy director of Hanoi's Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said the festival will bring together many vocational training institutions and enterprises involved in training partnerships.

It is important that training institutions and companies continue to work together through training agreements, he said.

He added that skill demonstrations in various career fields, such as tourism, hospitality, cosmetology, and automotive technology, will allow students to explore career paths and future employment.

In 2024, the vocational training sector aims to enroll and train 235,000 people (26,000 at the university level, 30,000 at the intermediate level and 179,000 at the basic level and through courses of less than three months), according to the department.

The city aims to achieve a labor force participation rate of 74.2%, with 54% holding a diploma or certificate, and to find jobs for 165,000 workers.

The upcoming activity is expected to be an effective solution to realize these goals and to become an annual vocational education enrollment and counseling event in the city.

Between 2019 and 2023, there were four editions of the festival, which will attract nearly 35,000 participants. Notably, vocational education institutions have partnered with almost 1,000 companies through various forms, solutions and activities to foster strong connections.

These collaborations include hosting 39,234 students for internships and practical training in companies, 427 businesses hiring 71,654 students immediately after graduation, and another 405 placing orders for training, retraining, and skill development for 63,307 students and workers.

Some 273 enterprises provided equipment, materials, and funding during the training process, and 107 businesses participated in the development and modification of curricula and teaching materials for college, intermediate, and basic training levels.
