Hanoi to host 2016 International Telefilm exhibition
As many as 200 companies and television stations from 15 countries and territories around the world will participate the Vietnam International Exhibition on Film and Television Technology (Telefilm) scheduled to take place from July 13-15 in Hanoi.

More than 200 companies, TV stations and units from 15 countries and territories including the United States, Germany, Japan, and the Republic of Korea (RoK), India, Turkey, mainland China, and Hong Kong, among others, have registered to open 350 stands to display their items.
These participating countries and territories have highly developed cinema industry and television networks.
The event will be attened by producers nationwide including Cat Tien Sa, BHD, TNS, and Lasta, apart from Song Vang, ADT, Sunrise, Viet com and Dolphin.
According to Nguyen Ha Nam from Vietnam Television, the host of the event, the companies will bring their latest products, programmes and technologies to the three-day event, thus creating a significant opportunity for them to seek trade deals and set up cooperation agreements.
The exhibition aims to officially set up a transaction exchange centre for films and TV content and technologies of the highest quality, as a place focussing on qualified TV stations and units in the region.
The event will also help local television stations and producers to learn from experiences of their international colleagues in order to improve the professional standards of Vietnam’s cinema and television.
The exhibition will create favourable conditions for domestic and foreign television stations to display their products, while seeking an opportunity to exchange views and cooperation with each other, Adpex JSC, an organiser of the exhibition, said.
Four seminars on new technologies in producing TV programmes, roles and effects of the social media on TV industry, and copyright protection, will be organised during this year's exhibition at the International Centre for Exhibition in Hanoi.
Since its establishment in 2013, Telefilm has been considered an important event of Vietnam's television industry. Hanoi and HCM City are selected to alternatively host the annual event.
