Hanoi supports comprehensive relations with Beijing and Guangdong, especially in fields of trade–investment, healthcare, science and technology, and urban development.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung stressed the view during a meeting with the Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning on September 28.
At the meeting, Dung expressed his delight at visiting China and Beijing again, where he witnessed significant progress and accomplishments made by the Chinese people.
He extended warm congratulations to the Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and other Chinese leaders on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the People's Republic of China's National Day.
Recalling the long history of friendly relations between the two Parties and nations, Dung expressed deep gratitude to the Chinese Party, State, and people for the invaluable support they to Vietnam during its struggle for national liberation in the past, its socialist development in the present, and its recent struggle against the Covid-19 pandemic.
He underscored that guided by the top leaders of both Parties, Vietnam-China relations have made significant progress over the past decade and yielded numerous positive outcomes that benefit both countries' people and contribute to regional and global peace, stability, cooperation, and development.
The Hanoi Party Chief emphasized that the delegation's visit to China is aimed at further concretizing and implementing the common perception reached during General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's visit to China from October 30 to November 1, 2022, as well as to execute the cooperation agreement signed between Hanoi and Beijing.
To further deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China, Dung called on both sides to enhance high-level exchanges and interactions, particularly at the highest levels, to bolster political trust.
Dung stressed the importance of strengthening friendly exchanges between central party agencies while fostering joint research on topics related to Party building, governance, and administration.

He expected both sides to actively explore and implement solutions to facilitate balanced and sustainable economic, trade, and investment relations, and to tap into new areas of cooperation such as digital transformation, green initiatives, clean energy, environmental protection, and climate change response, in line with each side's strengths and needs.
Another priority mentioned by Dung is to foster people-to-people exchanges to deepen mutual affection and understanding between the citizens of both countries.
Dung expressed his commitment to cement the social foundation of the bilateral relations and strengthen support for comprehensive exchanges and cooperation between Hanoi and Beijing, as well as between Hanoi and Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City.
Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning conveyed his gratitude for the affection Vietnam's Party, State, and People, particularly Hanoi have shown to the Chinese v Party, State, and People.
Wang congratulated the remarkable achievements of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
He highly praised the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, highlighting the progress made in various fields of cooperation which has brought tangible benefits to both nations and contributed to regional and global peace and stability.
Wang shared Dung’s view in pushing for more strategic exchanges and building political trust.
Special emphasis would be placed on promoting cooperation between the two Parties, including delegation exchanges, cadre training, and the sharing of theoretical insights and experiences in Party building and governance.
Wang offered his full support for collaboration and exchanges between local authorities and Party organizations from both countries, particularly between Hanoi and Beijing, as well as with other Chinese localities.
