Nguyen Ngan 17:21, 2017/09/14
The Hanoi People’s Committee issued Plan 198/KH-UBND on organizing Mid-Autumn Festival 2017 at 8PM of September 29, 2017 at Culture, Information and Sports Center of Thanh Xuan District.
Under the Plan, the Municipal People’s Committee aims to organize a safe and happy Mid-Autumn Festival for children, especially the ones in poor families, difficult circumstances, disadvantaged areas and ethnic minority areas. The festival will create opportunities for children to proactively take part in resolving child issues as well as in safe recreational activities, thus comprehensively developing them physically and mentally.

City’s agencies, sectors, unions, People’s Committees of districts, suburban districts and towns give direction and guidance, and carry out activities in celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival in Culture and Sports Centers as well as public places.

Recreational activities will be organized, such as music performances, folk games, sports activities like soccer, badminton and swimming, movie screening, meetings and seminars for children.

Popularization and education will be increased on mass media (televisions, radios, newspapers and online newspapers), through panels, posters, leaflets and brochures, thus improving awareness and sense of responsibility of Party units, governments, agencies, unions, associations, organizations, families and children for child care and protection.

Furthermore, information work focuses on popularizing activities to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival 2017, honoring people who support children in poor families, difficult circumstances, disadvantaged areas and ethnic minority areas, and encouraging children to use domestic toys instead of violent, improper items.

The city will intensify inspection of food safety and hygiene, focusing on food for Mid-Autumn Festival, prevent and severely punish the trade of improper, violent, toxic toys or toys of unclear origin according the laws.
