Various sectors and localities must ensure a sufficient supply of goods, especially food, medicine, and medical supplies, to avoid shortages and prevent price hikes.

Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

On the evening of September 7, in an interview concerning the response to super typhoon Yagi or Storm No.3, she shared that she personally contacted all 30 district and city secretaries to ensure the implementation of public safety protocols.

Following the directive of the Hanoi Party Committee, local sectors and authorities have coordinated efforts to implement timely actions. These efforts include evacuating people from hazardous buildings, setting up safe shelters, stationing emergency teams, and maintaining critical infrastructure to safeguard public well-being.

Hoai also commended the work of local authorities, military, and police forces, as well as the cooperation of the citizens, which helped reduce the impact of the storm.

She stressed the importance of staying vigilant, closely monitoring the weather, and ensuring preparedness for any future emergencies, urging leadership at all levels to uphold a strong sense of responsibility.

Though the storm may be weakening, unpredictable weather continues to pose a threat. Therefore, she reiterated that the main priority is protecting people’s lives and reducing property damage. She called for unified efforts from all sectors to support citizens, urging authorities to take on maximum responsibility.

Key agencies, including the city’s Command for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, are tasked with monitoring high-risk areas prone to flooding and landslides, relocating individuals from danger zones, and ensuring the stability of critical infrastructure. Meanwhile, local authorities were also instructed to provide necessary supplies and support to ensure no one is left behind.

Additionally, different sectors and localities need to maintain an adequate supply of goods, particularly food, medicine, and medical supplies, to prevent shortages and price spikes.

At the same time, emergency teams are expected to promptly address any storm-related damages and ensure the continuity of essential services like transportation, electricity, and communications.

Hoai also highlighted the importance of communication and continued collaboration between local authorities and citizens to effectively manage the aftermath of the storm and restore normalcy as swiftly as possible.
