The "International Fair of Hanoi Key Industrial Products 2022" event opened at the National Exhibition Construction Center in Nam Tu Liem District and will run until October 29, 2022.

Industrial companies from Hanoi and 11 provinces and cities, including Lam Dong, Binh Duong, HCM City, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, and Nam Dinh, will display their key products in a wide range of sectors such as electricity, electronics, manufacturing mechanics, precise mechanics, high technology, foods, textile and garment, footwear, and craft making.

The international fair is being held to take stock of five years of implementing the key industrial product development program in Hanoi, which was launched to promote the outstanding results Hanoi has achieved in socio-economic development and industrial production.

Under the program, Hanoi has supported industrial enterprises to strengthen their cooperation ties and seek new opportunities to establish partnerships with businesses at home and abroad.

Acting director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Tran Thi Phuong Lan said the program is designed to boost the development of key industrial products in Hanoi, aiming to make the capital the country's economic hub.

After five years of implementation, the Hanoi People's Committee has recognized 163 industrial products from 107 producers as the city's flagship products.

Most of the recognized producers are large-scale companies with strong market competitiveness, international integration capabilities, and the ability to join the global supply chain.

"Key industrial enterprises are those that dare to think and do. They are willing to adopt modern technologies and methods in production to match international standards," Lan said.

"Their works have contributed to the increase of working productivity, reduction of environmental pollution, and the sustainability of industrial production in Hanoi," she said.
