"The contest will focus on the importance and historical significance of the capital's Liberation Day, the glorious tradition of the revolutionary struggle, and the great contributions of the Party Committee, the armed forces, and the people of Hanoi in liberating the nation and subsequently building and protecting it," Minh added.
The competition consists of two rounds: the preliminary round and the final round. In the preliminary round, candidates register for an account on a website to take an online multiple-choice test over 12 weeks.
After each week of testing, the Organizing Committee will select three contestants with the fastest answers and highest multiple-choice test scores to receive the weekly prize. At the end of each month, the committee will award first, second, third, and consolation prizes to the top four contestants for the four weeks.
After 12 weeks of competition, 16 contestants will be selected to compete in the final round, including 12 contestants who won first place in the 12-week competition and four contestants with the best essay answers.
They will be divided into four teams to compete in a round-robin format. The final round is expected to take place in August.
Detailed rules can be found on the contest website at www.tuyengiaothudo.vn.
