A British female tourist commented that Hanoi is one of the unfriendly cities, but many people, including tourists from Europe such as France, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and so on have opposed her comment.

On a Sunday afternoon of October 2, enjoying coffee on Ma May Street (Hoan Kiem), Niels Feelews, a tourist from the Netherlands shared with reporters: "I love travelling. When departing the first journey, many people have advised me to visit Vietnam. I went to Vietnam and found that it is a proper advice.

I decided to stay longer. So, I have been looking a job here for two months. Hanoi is a very attractive city with friendly people, affordable food and I particularly "love" coffee in Hanoi.

Of course, Hanoi's tourism encountered some problems as the situation of "saying higher price" with foreigners. However, "I think any city has its difficulties. That's part of the game and any issues need to be gradually solved," Niels Feelews shared.

Mimi Quesnel (France) has come to Hanoi for the first time, she felt quite different from her Capital - Paris. According to her, in France, most of high-storey buildings are planned in a quite genteel way. This made her feel quite tedious about Paris.

"It is so different in Hanoi. Crowded street, many passers-by, the busiest traders make me feel incredibly exciting. This is the atmosphere of a worth-living city and full of energy. The Hanoians are quite friendly and polite. They are always smiling with us, not "stonyhearted" as in France."

Huong Lee, lived 20 years in the Czech Republic, coming back to visit the fatherland, she shared that tours in Hanoi changed a lot comparing to the memory of her past. In particular, the Hanoians are very hospitable, especially foreign guests always receive a special welcome.

Despite that she has relatives, friends across 3 regions of the country, whenever returning Vietnam, Huong Lee always choose to stay in Hanoi as "Hanoi has always attracted me in a strange manner. I love the road, the old town and peaceful surroundings here."

Haimi Yonatan and Rotem Crenriech couple from Israel said, this is their first time to Vietnam and also the first time setting foot in Hanoi.

"We landed in Ho Chi Minh City, visited Can Tho then coming to Hanoi. Actually in the plan, we only stayed one day and then had a tour to visit Sapa but Hanoi is so lovely and we decided to stay another day."

They also shared that Hanoi is very pleasant, quiet and peaceful, unlike the lively rhythm of life in Ho Chi Minh City, the Hanoians are very friendly. "They followed our conversation with smiles that are always on their lips and willing to help when we need."

In addition, Hanoi cuisine is particularly attractive to the couple from Israel, especially the beef salad, spring rolls, pho, etc.

"We visited pedestrian street on Saturday night, came to Hoa Lo Prison and Ho Chi Minh Museum on Sunday. For us, Hanoi is a very interesting destination. Hotels and lodging are rich and have many options, and it is also easy for us to search for tours to other scenic spots," Haimi Yonatan and Rotem Crenriech couple shared.
