The World Travel Awards ceremony was recently held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, said that winning the title of World's Leading City Break Destination has again confirmed the potential and attractiveness of Hanoi’s tourism industry on the world tourism map.

"Through this prestigious award, we hope that Hanoi's typical tourism offerings will be further disseminated to travelers at home and abroad," she said.

Hanoi has rich tourism resources with 5,922 historical and cultural relics and 1,793 intangible cultural heritage sites, including many typical destinations such as Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature, Hanoi Old Quarter, Soc Temple, Thay Pagoda and Tay Phuong Pagoda, among many others.

It is also home to thousands of traditional handicraft villages such as Bat Trang ceramics, Van Phuc silk weaving, Ha Thai lacquer, Quat Dong embroidery, and others.

Recently, in October 2023, the capital of Vietnam won the World's Best Golf City Destination 2023 Award, confirming that the capital of Vietnam is a unique, attractive, unique, safe and quality tourist destination.
