At a recent tourism forum in Quang Nam province, leaders of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City were committed to efficiently promoting the cooperation with localities in the Central key economic region to work out joint tourist products.

On November 27, at the forum on development of tourism linkages among Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the Central key economic region, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Ngo Van Quy suggested that in the coming time, the tourism regulators at the provincial and city level should coordinate closely, create conditions to support businesses in terms of administrative procedures, invest in product development, and promote brands.
Linkages are key
At the forum, leaders of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the Central key economic region localities (Thua Thien-Hue, Danang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, and Binh Dinh) signed an agreement on regional tourism linkages and development in the period of 2021-2025 and through the plan to jointly launch tourist products in the 2020-2021 period.
The cooperation agreement for the 2021-2025 period between Hanoi and the provinces of the Central Economic Region includes coordination in state management for tourism; development of tourism products; tourism promotion and human resource development.
For the realization of the agreement, the parties will focus on exchanging information; setting new directions in local tourism development; exploiting the values of natural tourism resources, diversity and characteristics of the region and the system of cultural relics, history, craft villages, and other regional advantages, Mr. Quy added.
In the strategy and orientation of tourism development, Hanoi always defines the work of improving cooperation and links between the capital and other provinces and cities is important. With the spirit of "Hanoi for the country, the whole country for Hanoi", in 2019 alone, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee in collaboration with the Standing Committees of 42 provinces and cities organized conferences to evaluate the results of cooperation and agreed on a plan for cooperation and development in the coming time.
Within the forum, the signing ceremony of cooperation agreements between tourism associations of Hanoi, provinces and cities, air carriers; and between tourist businesses of provinces and cities took place.
