Alexander Pushkin (1799-1837) was a Russian poet, playwright, and novelist of the Romantic era. He is considered by many to be the greatest Russian poet, and the founder of modern Russian literature.

Critics consider many of his works as ‘masterpieces of the word’, such as poem The Bronze Horseman and drama The Stone Guest, a tale of the fall of Don Juan.

In Vietnam, Alexander Pushkin is one of the best-known Russian authors. His works, mostly poems- have long been translated into Vietnamese, taught in school, published and reprinted in various publications for many times.
