With the theme "Linkage, Cooperation and Mutual Development", the conference aims to find ways to tap into the unique tourism products of each locality.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism will promote tourism in the capital city with the northern province of Ninh Binh and the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) of Gia Lai, according to the department's director, Dang Huong Giang.

Giang was speaking at the "Conference on Inter-regional Tourism Destination Promotion between Ninh Binh-Hanoi and Central Highlands" held in Hanoi on November 10, under the theme "Linking - Cooperation - Mutual Development.

Localities participating in the conference displayed booths showcasing their tourism services via publications, documents, flyers, and brochures, offering local products, gifts, and regional specialties, in addition to a business matching program between tourism enterprises.

At the conference, tourism delegates from Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Central Highlands provinces pledged to work together to attract tourists.

They presented their potential, strengths, and unique tourist offers. Among them, Hanoi affirmed itself as the capital of a thousand-year-old civilization, with a wealth of historical relics, elegant people, and cultural and artistic architectures, such as Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy, Turtle Tower - Ngoc Son Temple, One Pillar Pagoda, and others.

Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, said that after a long period of being severely affected by the pandemic and difficulties caused by the global economic recession, it is crucial to link and cooperate in tourism promotion to attract tourists from the Central Highlands provinces to Hanoi and Ninh Binh Province and vice versa.

This is also an opportunity for provincial authorities, enterprises and investors to interact, share experiences, establish cooperative relations and propose solutions to strengthen connectivity. In the process of cooperation and development, the identity and strengths of each place can be effectively harnessed to create unique, typical tours and tourism products.

Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department Dang Huong Giang agreed with this view, saying that Hanoi, Ninh Binh and the Central Highlands provinces are three destinations with diverse cultural and eco-tourism resources that still have a lot of room for further exploitation.

The Central Highlands region is a relatively new destination for travel agents. Still, it boasts pristine beauty that has attracted a large number of tourists, especially young people and those interested in eco-cultural tourism. In particular, transportation connectivity has been completed with the airports of Pleiku and Buon Ma Thuot and the road network linking the Central Highlands provinces with the rest of the country. These are favorable conditions for the development of tourism. The number of visitors from Hanoi and Ninh Binh to the Central Highlands is rising.

Giang said creating a forum for local tourism businesses to cooperate and develop tourism routes between the Central Highlands region, Ninh Binh and Hanoi has proven to be a good initiative.

"The capital's tourism sector highly appreciates the input from businesses and experts, so in the coming period, Hanoi will continue to strengthen cooperation with Ninh Binh and Central Highlands provinces to launch a tourism connection and development program," she said.

"Through this, high-quality tours, routes and tourism products will be formed and developed to cater to domestic and international travelers," Giang stressed.
