Hanoi fighters won the men's and women's titles at the 2023 National Kickboxing Championship on August 12.

The tournament, held on August 6 in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, attracted nearly 400 fighters and coaches from 34 provinces and cities across the country.
Fighters competed in low kick and full contact, with a total of 32 weight categories for men and women.
Hanoi fighters won a total of five gold, one silver and three bronze medals, while their female teammates won four gold, one silver and five bronze medals.
In total, Hanoi won nine gold, two silver and seven bronze medals, topping the tournament's medal table in both the men's and women's categories.
Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City were the runners-up in the men's category, while Thai Nguyen and Tien Giang followed Hanoi in the women's category.
Duong Ngoc Hai, head of the Hanoi delegation, said the fighters had prepared well for the tournament.
"The fighters trained in Vietnam and Thailand before the championship," he said.
"Hanoi's athletes performed as expected and got the best results," Ngoc Hai added.
