The Hanoi Autumn Festival 2024 takes as its goal to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), while promoting the beauty, historical and cultural values and utilizing the unique, fascinating landscapes, relics and heritage sites of Hanoi as an attractive, quality and safe tourist destination.

The highlight of the festival will be the areas and models promoting Hanoi's historical relics, recreating the scene of joyful Hanoians waving flags and flowers to welcome the victorious army marching into the city on October 10, 1954; another themed area "Hanoi in 12 flower seasons"; an area showcasing typical tourism products and destinations; another one promoting handicraft village products; and a culinary area "Flavors of Hanoi."
In addition, some booths will present tourism products of Vietnamese provinces and cities, while others, run by international tourism agencies, will introduce cultural and tourist destinations of the countries and promote bilateral tourism. There is also an area called "Hanoi - Youthful Rhythm of Life" for cultural and artistic experiences and entertainment.
The festival will also feature parades and performances by the Municipal Youth Union and Hanoi's 30 districts and cities (lion and dragon dances, mid-autumn lantern parade, dragon and flower performances, country puppet shows, and others), introduction of Hanoi's culinary culture, folk and sports dance programs, Ao Dai fashion show, children's parades, painting activities, and art exhibitions. Some districts will also promote their products and cultural and scenic spots on stages and booths.
According to Deputy Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen, this is the second event organized by the city government to praise Hanoi's tourism, culture, heritage, and nature.
