The second Hanoi Agriculture Fair 2022 is taking place at AEON MALL Ha Dong until August 21, with the participation of 70 OCOP manufacturers from 30 provinces and cities.

Enterprises in Hanoi and other provinces introduce a variety of farm produce, regional specialties, processed foods, and OCOP products such as Thai Nguyen Province’s tea specialties, vermicelli and shiitake mushrooms of Lao Cai and Cao Bang provinces, ST25 and Seng Cu specialty rice, turmeric starch, Nghe An Province’s tamarind sausage, bird's nest, and others.

During the fair, activities to connect businesses to buyers and sellers would be underway on the website: nongsanantoanhanoi.gov.vn.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the second fair on August 18, Bui Duy Quang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Investment Promotion - Trade - Tourism (HPA), said it is part of a cooperation program between the city and AEON Group to support local businesses in marketing, seeking partners, opportunities, market expansion, and getting access to AEON’s retail sales and distribution system in Vietnam and globally. 

“The promotion activities are expected to contribute to the attainment of export values of US$500 million in 2021 and $1 billion by 2025 of Vietnamese goods through the AEON system,” he told The Hanoi Times.

Nakagawa Tetsuyuki, General Director of AEON MALL Vietnam said at the event: “We will continue to accompany and engage with the local community, supporting sustainable production activities with the goal of creating useful values for the community.”

He added that AEON always strives to promote the consumption of Vietnamese exports in the Japanese market.

Earlier this month, the first trade fair was held at AEON MALL Long Bien, with the participation of 80 OCOP manufacturers from 19 provinces and cities.
