Governing body of CPV discusses whole term missions

At the two-day meeting, the Central Committee approved the Politburo’s submission of the nation’s top positions, including State President, Prime Minister, and the NA Chairperson.

The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)’s Central Committee on March 9 concluded a two-day meeting with a focus on discussing the entire term’s missions.

At its 2nd sitting of the new term (2021-2026), the Central Committee covered important issues that will be implemented from now throughout 2026.

Its agenda includes the Party building; personnel work; renewing the Party’s leadership; anti-corruption; advancing growth models, economic restructure, labor productivity, and the economic competitiveness; active integration into the global market.

Representatives at the meeting emphasized the need to keep the implementation in line with documents adopted at the 13th National Party Congress in February.

Notably, the CPV’s Secretary General and State President Nguyen Phu Trong stated that the issues included in the agenda are the most important and pressing.

At the two-day meeting, the Central Committee also approved the Politburo’s submission of the nation’s top positions including State President, Prime Minister, and the NA Chairperson.

The CPV’s Central Committee has 200 members, including 20 alternatives.
