General Department of Taxation launches supporting program for start-ups
On July 28, General Department of Taxation (GDT) has launched the supporting program for start-ups.
The objectives of the program include helping start-ups accessing tax policies information, performing tax procedures timely, resulting in time and cost saving. This program is also part of the government plan to create one million enterprises by 2020. “The program is to share difficulties with enterprises, so they can focus on development”, said a representative from the General Department of Taxation.
According to the Deputy Director of the General Department of Taxation Nguyen Dai Tri, the program is aimed to prevent any tax obstacles for start-ups, as well as helping them to access the Department’s supporting channel. With this being said, the GDT will establish a site themed “Supporting start-ups” in the websites of the General Department and 63 Departments across the country. In this site, tax agencies will provide information and instruction for start-ups including tax registration, tax declaration and payment, instructions on receipts and accounting books.
Besides, the Department will also provide start-ups with the contact numbers and addresses responsible for their assistance. In particular, in order to facilitate the support, tax payer can send email to the Department inquiring business registration process. The Department also encourages the involvement of business community to help startups in providing services including digital signature and accounting software.
Responding to the Department’s program, MISA JSC has signed a memorandum with the Department to provide an accounting software free of charge for startups established in 2017 and 2018.
“We have staffs positioned at tax agencies to hand in the software to start-ups. On the other hand, a call-center is also available to support enterprises for any questions related to the software”, said the director of MISA JSC –Nguyen Thanh Ha who added that the move is aimed at helping household businesses to overcome unfamiliarity to accounting and make commercial register.
