According to a recent inquiry of 8 sur 6 Channel (Belgium), French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife maintain the habit to eat Vietnam cuisine every Wednesday in a week during many past years.
President Macron starts to be in love with Vietnam culinary during a trip to Vietnam in 1998, on his student life. He specially loves the Vietnamese shrimp spring roll while his wife often orders the fried spring roll. As usual, every Wednesday evening, the couple show up at a Vietnamese fast-food named Tran Lo at 19h30. The meal starts after that 30 minutes. That’s the peaceful moment for them to talk and watch the regular news on France 2 channel.

According to France media, beside tasteful flavor, Vietnamese dishes are known by their santiy. Those are reasons why French President choose them for his health and shape.
Foreigners often describe Vietnamese dishes as ultimate “accidently healthy” food. There are a handful of deep fried recipes. But generally, most Vietnamese dishes are super fresh, full of bright flavours, loaded with herbs and salads, with just a bit of protein.
