The city is attractive and appealing to tourists during the Autumn days of October.

Domestic and foreign visitors to Hanoi on Capital Liberation Day, which falls on October 10, will be treated to a wide range of activities offered by the local tourism industry.

At the Temple of Literature, the photo exhibition "Hanoi - 15 Years of Expanded Administrative Boundaries" in the Thai Hoc courtyard is worth a long stay.

Sofia Loren, a British tourist who attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition on October 5, said: "I am very happy to see beautiful photos of Hanoi. They help me to understand the pace of development of the capital".

The exhibition, which runs until October 11, is expected to provide tourists visiting Hanoi with a comprehensive view of the capital.

Meanwhile, the management board of Hoa Lo Prison Relic is organizing an exhibition called "The Roar of the Red" from now until December 31, with two themes, "Long Resistance War" and "History Day," which attracted many locals and visitors in the first week of its opening.

At the capital's iconic Sword Lake, the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi's Old Quarter, in cooperation with the National Archives Center I, is displaying 100 documents, pictures, design drawings and planning maps under the theme "Sword Lake, East-West Intersection" at the Hoan Kiem Cultural Information Center and the sidewalk of Le Thai To Street.

Tran Thi Thuy Lan, deputy director of the Hoan Kiem Lake and Old Quarter Management Board, said the exhibition provides a comprehensive view of the transformation of the landscape and historical-cultural space of Hoan Kiem Lake from the early 19th century to the mid-20th century.

The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, in cooperation with the National Archives Center I, is hosting the exhibition "The Citadel and Streets in Old Days" in addition to the weekly tours.

Nguyen Thanh Quang, director of the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, said the event will add to the attractiveness of the Imperial Citadel and enhance the experience for visitors this October.

Ngo Kim Thuy, a resident of Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi, visited the Hoa Lo Prison Relic and Thang Long Imperial Citadel with a group of women to soak up the atmosphere of celebrating the 69th anniversary of the liberation of the capital.

She said: "Many tourist destinations in Hanoi are holding meaningful exhibitions during the October 10 period, which not only attract international tourists, but also bring back fond memories for local residents when they visit familiar historical sites."

In addition to exhibitions and displays, theatrical groups in the capital are staging artistic programs and exciting performances during this time, providing tourists with more choices for evening activities.

Currently, Hanoi is in the high season for travel, especially from abroad. The celebration of the 69th anniversary of the capital's liberation day enhances its appeal to attract more tourists to the city through cultural and entertainment activities.

Hanoi has many historical sites associated with significant events, including the capital's liberation day, such as Hanoi Flag Tower - where the historic flag-raising ceremony took place on October 10, 1954; Hanoi Opera House - where the entire city was called to the flag-raising ceremony; Hoang Thanh Thang Long (Ancient Citadel), the assembly point of the People's Amy of Vietnam troops marching into the city on October 10, 1954; Hanoi Railway Station, Dong Xuan Market, and others. These are the places through which the troops marched to assemble at the ancient citadel, according to Phung Quang Thang, vice chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association.

"These relics and places are currently 'red addresses' for tourists to explore," he stressed.

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, Nguyen Thi Mai Anh, said that since the end of September and the beginning of October, Hanoi has launched many events to commemorate the capital's Liberation Day, including the Hanoi Autumn Festival, which attracted about 80,000 visitors.

According to Dang Huong Giang, director of the Hanoi Tourism Department, promotional events in the city to celebrate the capital's Liberation Day will continue until the end of this month, with the highlight being the Hanoi Ao Dai Festival.

"Many historical events associated with the fall season provide a great opportunity for the city to enhance its appeal to tourists through unique attractions and cultural activities. These events not only enhance the experience of international visitors, but also create fond memories for locals when they visit the historical sites," she stressed.
