EuroCham’s newly-elected Board, led by Chairman Gabor Fluit, expressed its commitment to capitalizing on the successes of the past and spearheading EuroCham’s endeavors to foster Europe-Vietnam economic relations.

Gabor Fluit, CEO of De Heus Asia, has been elected as the new Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham).

Fluit, who came to replace his predecessor Alain Cany, would lead a new Board of Directors with 17 members, those elected at its annual general meeting held last week.

EuroCham's newly-elected Board, featuring both incoming and returning members, is poised to capitalize on the organization's accomplishments over the past year and lead its efforts to promote and enhance Europe-Vietnam economic relations, stated the organization in a statement.

"Vietnam offers many opportunities, and I am eager to work with our members and partners to unlock its full potential. With EuroCham's strong foundation and network, I am confident we will

continue to elevate and advance Vietnam's business environment. I look forward to building on the outstanding work of my predecessor and leading EuroCham into an exciting new chapter," said Fluit.

Echoing Fluit’s view, Executive Director Delphine Rousselet expected EuroCham to continue further strengthening the economic relationship between Europe and Vietnam.

“As Vietnam continues to emerge as a key player in the global economy, EuroCham remains committed to supporting our members and partners in navigating the dynamic business landscape and unlocking the full potential of this vibrant market," said Rousselet.

EuroCham’s membership of 1,300 makes it one of the biggest foreign chambers of commerce in Vietnam. Its members directly employ more than 150,000 people across the Vietnamese economy.

Four vice chairs of EuroCham include CEO of Bosch Vietnam Dominik Meichle, COE of B.Braun Torben Minko, CEO of Hung Yen Knitting & Dyeing Claudia Anselmi, and Jean-Jacques Bouflet from the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV).
