DPRK, Vietnam sign agricultural cooperation deal

Vietnam and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on October 30 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Hanoi providing for cooperation in agricultural science and techniques.
At the signing ceremony, Vietnam Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Quoc Doanh said in recent times, agricultural cooperation between the two countries has developed strongly.
 
 
Many cooperative activities have been implemented, including exchanging experts and researching production of high quality vegetable and fruit varieties.

DPRK Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade Ri Myong San echoed Doanh’s views adding that the MoU aimed to create a solid foundation for continued cooperation in planting, organic agriculture and vegetable and fruit research.
