Craft beer festival held in Danang to promote awareness on social and environmental issues
The beer festival is also a donation program, which is carried out following the popular Oktoberfest version, with all proceeds from sale of tickets to be donated to charity organizations.
A craft beer festival titled “Beer United 3” is slated to take place on August 24 in the central coastal city of Danang aiming at raising people’s awareness about the social and environmental issues.
This is the third edition of this festival in Danang which is held by the 7 Bridges Brewing Company with the attendance of 17 craft beer breweries nationwide.
The idea of this festival was originated from the 7 Bridges Brewing Company’s target to create a network of people with general sense of purpose, who desire to contribute to the sustainable development of local community and environment. In the framework of the event, a series of activities will be held to appeal social care to the needy people as well as sensitize the public on environment protection such as curbing the use of plastic ware and safeguarding wildlife.
The beer festival is also a donation program, which is carried out following the popular Oktoberfest version, with all proceeds from tickets sale to be donated to three charity organizations including Giving It Back to Kids, an NGO dedicated to helping orphanages, abused women and single parents; DAVA (Danang Association of Victims of Agent Orange and Dioxin) and Vietnam Zero Waste Alliance Let's Do It Vietnam.
“We believe beer brings people together and builds community feeling. Beer United is a great platform to bring together all kinds of people from the community to support each other and give back to our community,” said 7 Bridges’ CEO, Stanley Boots.
Unlike ordinary beer, craft beer allows brewers to create unique recipes by combining materials for their own flavors depending on their inspiration, imagination, and techniques.
