Coal export tax drops to 10%

The Vietnamese Ministry of Finance (MoF) has decided to reduce coal export tariff by 10% from the previous level of 13% in a bid to support local coal producers overcoming ongoing difficulties.
The Hanoitimes - The Vietnamese Ministry of Finance (MoF) has decided to reduce coal export tariff by 10% from the previous level of 13% in a bid to support local coal producers overcoming ongoing difficulties.

The new tax rate applies to coal products falling under the 27.01 export tariff.

The move responded to Viet Nam Customs’ reports in which over 8 million tons of coal were shipped abroad in the past eight months, representing a year-on-year decrease of 3.8%.
