Chan May port receives large luxury cruise liner

The cruise liner Voyager of the Seas of the US Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines carrying over 4,000 tourists and nearly 1,800 crew members docked at Chan May port in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on August 9.
After disembarking, tourists visited the ancient imperial city of Hue , ancient Hoi An town in Quang Nam province and Da Nang city. 
The Voyager of the Seas is the largest ship to arrive at the Chan May port. The 15-floor ship with 1,306 rooms is 311 metres long and 48 metres wide.

As planned, the port will receive the 18-floor Quantum of the Seas with about 5,000 tourists and over 1,500 crew members on September 21.
Thua Thien-Hue has invested 310 billion VND (14.2 million USD) in upgrading the Chan May port’s infrastructure to enable it to receive larger vessels carrying up to 5,500 passengers each.
