Celebrating 55th founding aniversary of Vietnam tourism sector

A ceremony to mark the 55th founding anniversary of Vietnam tourism sector (July 9) was held in HCM City on July 7 as part of activities to raise public awareness of the role of tourism in the country’s socio-economic development.
The ceremony helped encourage responsibility and creativity among tourism officials to contribute to developing the sector sustainably.
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism also launched a promotional campaign themed “Vietnamese people travel around Vietnam”.
Besides, a few of programmes were organised on the occasion, including the 2014 Vietnam tourism award, a competition on sustainable development and a dialogue on integration measures to develop Vietnam tourism.
