Building business models associated with information technology
Vietnamese firms should clearly define the business models associated with information technology (IT) and apply one of four universal current trading models in order to develop in the digital age and world economic integration, Mr. Pham Vinh Thai, Director of Technology of Hewlett-Packard Enterprice Corporation (HPE) said at the recent meeting in Hanoi.

The business models that Mr. Pham Vinh Thai mentioned include the model of risk management initiative.
Secondly, IT would help firms satisfy customers if they created fan pages on Facebook or Twitter.
Thirdly, Thai said that firms should apply IT to do business more effective. The number of smartphone users has been growing rapidly. Enterprises should take advantage of this to increase communication with our customers. Their sales growth will be very quick through this model.
The fourth is a model using live form infrastructure. With this model, businesses can fully use cloud computing to create value.
Speaking at the previous seminar, Mr. Doan Duy Khuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) confirmed that the explosion of IT with mobile technology platform, cloud, big data are shaping "smart" development trends in all fields, becoming a key economic sector with a high growth rate and efficiency.
The Vice Chairman said that many Vietnamese businesses have actively invested and applied IT in their administration, production and trading activities.
He stated that in the coming time, the VCCI will co-operate with agencies, research institutes, and technology groups, as well as increase international co-operation and social resources for the purpose of developing businesses.
VCCI would also support the country's business community, especially small – and medium-sized enterprises by consulting with businesses in advanced technology applications to improve competitiveness and increase labour productivity, Khuong added.
