Olivier Michalon, Executive Vice President of Global Business at Airbus Helicopters, shared his plans with Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at a meeting in Hanoi today [March 20].

Vietnam is a key market for the US-based Airbus Group regarding civil and specialized helicopters.

During the discussion, Ha expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and achievements between Airbus Helicopters and its partners in Vietnam in aviation, especially in the areas of technology, management experience, engineering and product.

He added these are also the criteria for Vietnamese partners to choose, establish, and expand sustainable and long-term cooperation with Airbus Helicopters.

The Deputy Prime Minister believes the company can support Vietnam in building strategies and development plans for the aviation industry, human resources training, research, technology transfer, component manufacturing and equipment in the Airbus Group's global value chain.

Airbus Helicopters would also expand cooperation in new areas such as aerospace/satellites, helicopters, defense science, search and rescue, and security and defense.

Ha suggested that Airbus Helicopters undertake further research and investment based on Vietnam's development strategy and market potential.

Olivier Michalon affirmed that Vietnam will be his group's top and long-term priority cooperation partner in the coming period.
