More than 80 facilities and projects have been recognized for their innovative use of green energy in manufacturing.

The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade awarded the title of "Green Energy User 2024" to 83 entities and buildings on December 10. These facilities were recognized for meeting criteria on energy conservation and efficiency in industrial production and construction.

The "Green Energy User 2024" program attracted 120 participants and provided energy efficiency assessments using energy simulation tools, efficiency index calculations, and support for energy management system implementation. Enterprises adopted highly automated technologies in line with Industry 4.0 standards, according to the decision of the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee issued on August 28, 2023.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Dinh Thang, the 83 recognized models have implemented thousands of innovative solutions, optimized production processes, invested in modern equipment, and reduced energy costs. "Initial evaluations show energy savings of 143.1 kTOE, which is 1.74% of the city's projected energy consumption.

Among them, 16 large energy users applied 120 solutions and saved 8,350 TOE (equivalent to VND102.3 billion) in three years. Their five-year plans aim to save 13,916 TOE worth VND170.5 billion. Another 18 high-energy users implemented 86 measures, saving 548.2 TOE (VND6.5 billion) in three years, with future savings projected at 913.6 TOE (VND10.8 billion).

Highlights include solar panel installations at Canon Vietnam, Panasonic Vietnam, Goshi-Thang Long, Stanley Vietnam, and others, as well as BMS software for energy control at Sheraton Hanoi West, Melia Hanoi, and Viet Phap Hospital. In addition, variable frequency drives were installed in motors at companies such as CP Vietnam Livestock and Star Fashion.
