About 1,000 Chinese young people to attend Vietnam-China Youth Festival

The third Vietnam-China Youth Festival, themed “Vietnam-China youth join hands in fostering friendship”, will take place in Vietnam from November 7-10.
The third Vietnam-China Youth Festival, jointly chaired by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Chinese Communist Youth Union, is considered as part of activities to nurture the bilateral friendship, mutual understanding and trust among the two countries' young people.

As an initiative of the high-ranking leaders of the two countries, the event contributes to strengthen the comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership between Vietnam and China.
This year's festival, is expected to attract the participation of thousands of Vietnamese young people and 1,000 Chinese counterparts.
This festival will include main activities taking place in Hanoi capital and six provinces of Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, Lang Son, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh and Ninh Binh.
In Lang Son and Quang Ninh, will focus on environmental protection and sustainable development.  In Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh and Phu Tho, activities will look at preserving cultural identities and developing tourism while those in Lao Cai will represent the pioneering role of youth in socio-economic development. 
The Vietnam-China youth art exchange programme and the closing ceremony will be organised in Hanoi. 
During their stay in the capital city, the Chinese delegation will pay floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum and visit some outstanding businesses.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Chinese Communist Youth Union signed Vietnam-China youth cooperation agreements in 2000 and since then diverse and practical activities have been held.
Besides the festival, many meetings and exchange programmes have helped young people of the two countries’ localities that share the border promotet friendship and cooperation. 
The first festival was organised in Guangxi province, China, in August 2010, and the second took place in November 2013 in the Zhuang Autonomous Region in Guangxi province.
