A bird’s eye view of Hanoi’s five nearly-completed traffic projects

The five traffic projects are expected to reduce traffic congestion on highly transited roads in Hanoi's downtown.

The works on urgent traffic infrastructure works in Hanoi are nearing completion, Kinh Te & Do Thi reported.

For the past years, The Hanoi city government has executed a number of major infrastructure projects to reduce traffic congestion on heavy traffic roads downtown.

The five major works include viaduct No.3 crossing Linh Dam lake, the intersection of Ring Road No.3 with Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, the elevated section of Mai Dich - Thang Long bridge of the Ring Road No.3 project, the Nga Tu So - Vinh Tuy section elevated road of the Ring Road No.2 project, the underpass at the intersection of Le Van Luong-Khuat Duy Tien streets.

 The intersection of Ring Road No.3 with Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway measuring 1.5km long to connects Long Bien - Thach Ban road with Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway.
 The project, with a total investment of over VND400 billion (US$17.3 million), is expected to be completed in early 2021 to celebrate the National Party Congress.
 The the Hanoi Traffic Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board, the investor of the project, who has made a lot of efforts to speed up the construction progress, in spite of difficulties due to impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
 Viaduct No.3 crossing Linh Dam lake is nearing completion.

 The project is expected to clear series of traffic bottlenecks at the southern entrance of the capital city.

 This is one of the works expected to be completed on the occasion of Hanoi's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2020).
 The Nga Tu So - Vinh Tuy section elevated road of the Ring Road No.2 project is praised for its quality and construction progress.
 The stretch of the Nga Tu Vong - Nga Tu So junction is ready to open up to traffic and be put into service.

 The section of the intersection of Nga Tu Vong - Vinh Tuy is under construction.

 Ring Road No.2 overhead allows a maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
 The section of Mai Dich elevated road - Thang Long bridge of the Ring Road No.3 project is invested by the Ministry of Transport and ready to be handed over to Hanoi’s authorities for operation.

 The intersection of Le Van Luong - Ring Road No.3, where a tunnel project, invested by Hanoi’s government, is expected to be kicked off soon. This is also one of Hanoi’s traffic bottlenecks that must be removed as soon as possible.
