Hanoi Times – Advanced 3G technologies will be introduced at an international exhibition of telecommunications, information technology and electronics in Ho Chi Minh City from November 26-29.
The event, Vietnam Telecomp-Vietnam Electronics 2008, will be organized by the Vietnam Post Office and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Hong Kong’s Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd.
The exhibition be an opportunity for businesses and consumers to learn about 3G and satellite telecommunication technologies, including video call, 3G sim and high-speed internet access via mobile phone, said Director of the VNPT’s Centre of Information and Post Office Bui Quoc Viet.
The 6,000 sq.m of floor space in Vietnam’s largest exhibition centre, the HCM City Centre for International Exhibition and Conference, has been booked by nearly 200 companies from least 17 countries and territories for the event.
Big brands including Cisco, Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia, Siemens, Orange (France Telecom) will showcase a full range of electronic products and components.
Seminars on Vietnam’s ICT market and business opportunities will be held on the sideline of the exhibition.
The Vietnam Telecomp-Vietnam Electronics 2008 event promises to provide further impetus to the development of the ICT market in Vietnam following the recent launch of Vietnam’s first satellite, Vinasat 1, into orbit and as the 3G services prepare to become licensed from the third quarter 2008.
