3,2 million foreign visitors to Hanoi in eight months 2017

According to a report of Hanoi Department of Tourism, tourist arrivals to Hanoi from the start of the year reached an estimated 16.1 million, a year-on-year rise of 9 percent.

According to a report, in August 2017, tourist arrivals to Hanoi reached an estimated two million, a year-on-year rise of 9 percent. Meanwhile, Hanoi welcomed almost 357.000 foreign visitors, a year-on-year rise of 25 percent. In addition, Hanoi also welcomed 1,6 million domestic passengers, a year-on-year rise of 6 percent, grossing revenue of more than VND5.7 trillion, up 13%.
An anticipated, eight months 2017, tourist arrivals to Hanoi from reached an estimated 16,1 million, a year-on-year rise of 9 percent. Meanwhile, foreign visitors to Hanoi reached an estimated 3,2 million, a year-on-year rise of 21 percent. Domestic passengers to Hanoi reached an estimated 12,9 million, a year-on-year rise of 6 percent; grossing revenue of more than VND47 trillion, up 14%.
Meanwhile, from the start of the year, Ngoc Son Pagoda has welcomed approximately 670.400 visitors. Temple of Literature, Hanoi has welcomed approximately 1 million visitors, Vietnam Museum of Ethnology has welcomed approximately 290.122 visitors, a year-on-year rise of 4 percent. Huong Pagoda has welcomed approximately 1.3 million, a year-on-year rise of 5 percent…
In addition, Vietnam welcomed more than 8.47 million foreign visitors in the first eight months of the year, up 29.7 percent against the same period of last year, and served 52.8 million domestic tourists, earning a total of 335.8 trillion VND (14.7 billion USD) in revenue. In August only, the country attracted over 1.2 million foreigners, a monthly increase of 18.5 percent. This is the sixth time in 2017 Vietnamese tourism drew over one million international tourists in a month.
In August, the country’s tourism sector launched numerous tourism promotion events overseas, such as in Australia and China. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will organise a tourism promotion event in Cambodia from August 28 to 30.
