Experience long-established cafes in Hanoi's Old Quarter

The cafes have made a name for themselves in the capital city, thanks to the tranquillity they offer in the middle of the bustle of Hanoi.

For more than half a century, Hanoi's cafés have retained their traditional charm, which has been passed down through generations.

Packaged coffee products with unique and attractive designs that are environmentally friendly appeal to Vietnam's many coffee lovers.

Le Dinh Nguyen, a resident of Thanh Xuan District. 

Le Dinh Nguyen, a resident of Thanh Xuan District, comes to Giang Café every day to enjoy egg coffee. He told The Hanoi Times: "This cafe uses wooden tables and chairs, which gives it a rustic and ancient look. For me, who was born in Hanoi, Giang Coffee has very delicious egg coffee, which is more unique than others."

Lam Café is located at 60 Nguyen Huu Huan Street in Hoan Kiem District, 

Lam Café is an address many people like because it is associated with artistic memories of a bygone era and famous artisans such as Van Cao, Bui Xuan Phai, Duong Bich Lien, Nguyen Sang, and others. Since its establishment in 1952, the café has been a part of Hanoi people's old memories.

Anh Dao, a 32-year-old visitor from Ho Chi Minh City, visits Lam Café.

During a trip to Hanoi, Anh Dao, a 32-year-old woman from Ho Chi Minh City, told The Hanoi Times: "Every time I visit Hanoi, I often come to Lam Café because I like the old and peaceful place here. I can sit comfortably and chat with my friends."

 Thai Café at No.27 Trieu Viet Vuong Street in the Hai Ba Trung District.

Thai Café at No.27 Trieu Viet Vuong Street in the Hai Ba Trung District has been in existence for almost 100 years, through four generations of owners. The intimacy and rusticity of this long-standing café have been a draw for thousands of Hanoi residents.

In the middle of the bustling city, the old Thai Café is an attraction that serves more than 1,000 customers a day.

Vu Tien Anh (in blue shirt), a resident of Hai Ba Trung District, told The Hanoi Times: "I often come here to enjoy coffee, as the spatial and simple layout makes me feel excited to experience coffee every weekend morning."

 Thai Café has made a name in the capital thanks to its quiet space and simple drinks, but rich in old Hanoi style.
