Zoom in Vietnamese police's skill of fire prevention and fighting
Vietnam’s Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Bureau (Police Ministry) collaborated with Fire Prevention and Fighting Department of Hanoi to hold Rescue Service Competition – the first in 2017 on this September.
The fire polices were involved in 3 rounds: race of 100-meter obstacle overcome, race of 400-meter obstacle overcome and rescuing victim out of poisonous fume at My Dinh National Stadium.
After 5 years of implementing Decision 44 of Vietnamese Prime Minister of Rescue Service, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue’s police force have been involved in more than 5,000 accidents, incidents; instructed for tens of thousands people escape from dangers; directly rescued over 2,000 people and found out approximately 1000 death victims and handle them to authorized agencies. Those achievements contribute to ease damage of personnel, assets during accidents, incidents; by which creates safe living environment for residents.
On February, 14, 2017, Vietnam’s Police Ministry announced the Master Plan No 23 to hold Rescue service Competition – the first in 2017 for national Fire Prevention, Fighting Police Force.
Speaking to kick off the competition, Major general Doan Viet Manh affirmed, this activity would become firm basement to implement effectively the Government Decree No 83. The competition aimed to improve the skillfulness of Vietnamese Rescuing Police force with high capacity of health, technology, wisdom and braveness to solve complicated situations during accidents, incidents, contributing to maintain the safe and peace society.
During the contest held in Hanoi, there are 15 teams representing 15 fire departments of the city. They competed in three day (Sep 13-15).
